Meet Dr. Nurit Jugend
Dr. Nurit Jugend is a composer, music lecturer, and private tutor currently residing in California. She gives music appreciation classes at seminars, conferences and special events across the USA and internationally, as well as teaches regularly at the Stanford Continuing Education Program at Stanford University.
Her works are played by leading performers and conductors such as the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under Maestro Zubin Mehta, St. Lawrence String Quartet at Stanford University, Calarts Contemporary Ensemble, Slovenian Symphony Orchestra under Maestro Sean Edwards (Croatia) and the EurOrchestra under Maestro Franseco Lentini (Italy).

Her excellence is further evidenced by the 2003-04 Giles Whiting Fellowship at Stanford University and the 2007 Summer Composers Residency at Banff Centre in Canada.

My daughter has been taking piano lessons with Nurit since January 25, 2018. She was six years old at that time. Wow! Time flies! Nurit has been patient, encouraging, meets her where she is as a learner and makes learning music fun. I don't know if my daughter will continue learning music or piano professionally as she gets older but I do know at this time she continues to want to learn piano because she likes her teacher.
