‘Behind the Scene‘ of a Musical Composition (3 classes)
Behind every musical work stands the person who authored it - the composer. Most
of us have heard of the legendary Mozart, Beethoven or Brahms, and may be even
familiar with some of their works. But have you ever actually met a living composer?
Have you ever wondered: “where does the music ‘come from’? How do sounds of
music travel from the composer’s mind, onto paper, and through the player to the
listener?
This course is a wonderful opportunity for you to speak with a living-composer, and
learn about their creative world of music. As we listen to music recordings, we will
discover the ‘behind the scene’ of a musical composition, and the process of writing
a musical composition which is often known only to its writer. (All levels)
